ok fellas... i cant believe i havent posted this b4 but i got a pm lastnight asking how to drop the trans and locate that nasty lil pin that love to break in the diff. so here it is incase anyone was wondering

sure heres a quicky bro- (pre work - drain fluid,remove front wheels, remove starter) TRANS REMOVAL 1- remove batt 2- remove intake assem 3- remove battery plate (smoke a cig , drink a bit) 4- remove cross member (undercar) and front motor mount 5- put jack stand under engine 6- remove trans inspection plate 7- remove tourqe converter bolts (x4) (trun off the phone cause by now its pissing u off)(smoke a cig again) 8- remove lower control arms (both sides) 9- remove tie rod ends from brake assem (both sides) 10- pull axles out of the trans (may need a flat head/pry bar) ((clean hands and apply liquid skin to the skin that your missing on your knuckles)(smoke again) 11- remove engine-trans bolts (x4) 12- remove harness connections/ trans cooler lines 13- remove rear trans mount 14- remove drivers side motor mount (pop back ,take pain killer drink some more and again another smoke) 15- pull trans away from engine 16- pick up trans off the ground lol (jump up and down screammin n cussin cause u cant feel your foot) DIFF COVER/ DIFFERENTIAL (by this point u should be drunk as hell and can no longer feel your back ache) 1- remove differential cover (black/round/rear of trans) 2- drain fluid , clean with "paint" thinner (no alcohol based cleaners) 3- remove axle retainers (both sides/outside) 4- pull differential out of the trans via the diff cover 5- pin is located in the front of the diff. may or matnot have to pull the diff out 6- the pin is approx 2"long with small splines on one side
that basically it.... leave yourself about 2 days open for the work... and try not to let the trans just fall out of the car.... if u can use a jack to try and break the fall abit... also if u still have the dust covers under the car (black plastic) remove em..
