i just read the post from joe b slow that you should not use this as a tranny fluid. why can't i, cause i've been using that stuff (just added some since i installed the mesh grill and painted the tranny coolers black). -------jezreel

Its formulated for GM/Chevy transmissions, not for a Chrysler transmission.
Transmission fluid is not like an engine oil. It is subject to a harsh beating and functions as more than just a cooling agent. Therefore, different transmissions require different spec/ingredients to function properly and efficiently.
I too was using dexron/mercon, thinking it was ok.
Boy was I wrong...I hope this help

the Jiffy Lube i work at charges 96.99 for a flush. If you are getting a quart bottle, you will need about 12 for a FULL flush. That way you will actually get 110% of the fluid out. That is to say that you will flush all the old fluid out, and some new fluid just to make sure you get it all out.
