#8987, "Weird DIN cable on factory Tape/CD player" May-10-04 12:20 PM by thedawg
I have an OEM head unit that looks like this:
Below it is an OEM CD player with two DIN cables on the back. One is male and plugs into the head unit.
The other is a mystery Female, and goes into the dash.
Mystery cable pinout (Round DIN cable): o.o.o.o o.o.o.o o.o.o.o .....o....
Is this for a factory CD changer option or something? Why would the cable be there & plugged in if the car has no changer? Where would the changer normally be located? Thanks.

I take it this is your Tsi your talking about right? It's most likey the CD changer cable like you said. Most Eclipse/Talons came with the wire already in place. should go along the pass side back into the hatch area.
