haha, same thing happened to me, bought a pair of 6x9 infinities and after cutting the shit out of the speaker holders the magnets didn't fit. I returned the speakers and bought replacement spear pods from satan for like $40 each!

But, I have heard that other people have just took a mallet to the metal and banged it away from the magnet (too extreme for me). You could also try to use an insert to increase the speaker holders' heights (I had cut to much of the pod in order to get the speaker to fit to attach anything to it).

Every speaker has different depth measurements but I had good luck with my infinity's. They were real close. In fact I had to remove a little of the tar paper/sound deadner thats there to get them to fit but they did.

Which model infinities I have some 6x9 infinities that I had mounted in the deck, but when I replaced those with my 6x9 subs, I was going to moveinfinities to the pods. BUt then heard everybody who had infinities not making it.

I have Infinity Kappas, a couple years old or so, green cones.
