how do you by-pass the e-brake wire on a clarion vrx815. i heard you should ground the wire, does anyone know?

Well you either need to ground that wire, or send it a positive signal. *most* use a negative ground signal, so you should be able to just ground it. I would double check the install manual if you have it, or check out Clarion's website for the wire diagram. If you cant find it there, e-mail them or call em up. I say a ground though, because most E-brake's use a negative ground switch to turn on the dash lit brake light.

^^^yup, just ground it, im almost 99% sure that clarion uses a ground signal, as thats what 99% of the cars out there are going to have.

on my clarion touch screen all we did was ground the wire. that is what the ebrake does so u can watch it without settin it. playn playstation while flyn dwn the hwy on a road trip is truley a trip.
