Thank you sir, do you think that the sub would be way underpowered with this amp or should half the wattage be sufficient enough.

OH shit I didn't read that well LOL

It will be okay for a nice calm SQ system, don't expect to rattle anyone's windows but for 1 sub and 4 good component sets it will sound good.

I have components all the way around (well, DID) but I always have the rears toned way down. Most guys put a 6.5 coaxial in the rear. If you're really going for SQ then you should be running a mono signal to your rear inputs on that 4 channel amp that has been run through a high/lowpass filter running in the range of 1500hz to 10khz. The rears are only for "fill" and putting a midrange pass to them at mono will make your front sound stage jump out at you brilliantly.

Yea, I hear you.. If I can tune the fronts good to provide the vocals louder than I will just throw the backs on mono. I'm hoping I can. I have 5.25 up front so they have been distorting at high volume so I been setting the volume back on them. They don't handle rap music that well, but I'm sure it will get better when I have the backs filling in more.

"Brilliant" is a term used in the car audio industry meaning crisp highs and extremely defined stereo positioning. It has nothing to do with Christopher Lowell shouting "fabulous" constantly.

And you're calling me hef yet you're the one who thought of Christopher Lowell while I'm talking about car stereo equipment?

k sorry bout that, in that case, i would still run two different amps one, mainly for the sub, and one just for the mids. For the mids i would recomend a kicker kx650.4 which has 170 watts per channel at 2 Ohm, and for mild bass with the eclipse sub i would still recomend a mono amp, maybe a kicker kx400.1 which has 400 watts at 2 ohms, but if your sub is dual voice coil and 2 ohm you could run the sub into one ohm stable which would probably end up being about perfect for what you are looking for??

Thats a nice amp James. But whenever I do the system again I want a 5 channel, one amp that i can mount in one spot and have it run one sub and my speakers and components. I want something clean for next time that wont take alot of space.

Actually, I have that 4 channel amp running my fronts, rears, and sub.

Works fine and is very loud. Granted the ohms are a little fuckered, but i dont give a shit. Im not trying to win anything.

I have the regular speakers running from the front channel and i have my one JL 10w3 bridged off channels 3 and 4.

Works great.

You probably have a lower efficiency speaker in the rear which would make them play at a lower volume.

I don't think he is saying the speakers are garbage, because i dont think that is even possible for MB Quart or Eclipse to make garbage. lol.. I just think he means that the ratings on the rear speakers may be putting out less than the fronts, or some kind of technacality like that. Thats Awesome though, I've always admired the work you've done with your Eclipse, its simply amazing
