well, mine looked all black and burnt but when I rubbed it with the q-tip soaked with alcohol, it all came off. Just try to clean up all the residue. I had to clean a good area around it also cause it looked like it leaked and left a "trail" but when I held up the ECU the way it would be mounted, the trail went "up". My friend said it could have been smoke I cleaned it all up the best I could and so far, so good.
