Bypass the solenoid by running the vacuum line from the fpr directly to the intake manifold. Our 97 Spyder GS-T had the same CEL and this is what I did, no problems. The only issue I've heard from others with the solenoid bypassed is that it might take a few more cranks to start, especially on hot days.
