Attempt at getting Board of Directors info

Got a call from the General Manager today; basically they are not making the 2011. Mine will be a 2012. "Marketing" does not know when they will build them. Nobody knows when they will make the decision to build them : General Motors will call me directly and discuss the options. Nobody knows when that will happen.

I'm for real. These are the answers that I got.

The General manager also backed off his "GM's Fault" position almost entirely. In today's conversation, at first it wasn't important that we find where the fault lies, then it was "well, its probably our fault for not keeping you up to date. I wouldn't really worry about who's fault it is though, let's just see how we can fix it".

Yeah, somebody got to him, or he was a big fat liar, liar pants on fire. I will eventually find out which.

When I sent the letters, I only mentioned that I sent them out to "various people". In our conversation, I mentioned that I am trying to contact the Board of Directors to be sure they know my story. At that time, the General Manager said this has such a "red flag" on it, that I shouldn't worry about it. I should just keep this between him and the sales rep for GM (yeah, ding, ding, ding). It was at that point that I informed him that I already have a copy in with Corporate and a copy in with Customer service, so its not like its unknown knowledge now (that actually stopped him for a sec. I think he fell out of character. Yeah, just keep it between us friends.......).

The person who I contacted for the Board called me and was at first incredulous that I wanted to contact the Board. I mean they are "The Board" and I'm just a meesly customer (in all honesty, I know even if I get close, it will probably get read by a secretary of the Board member), but I really think this is an important point to make. I'm working on it.

So, just thought I would share. Its not such a surprise now, why they needed to be bailed out........
