I have KYB AGX with springs. Hit a hole in the road (should have sued the city) that hit so hard it knocked my drivers side strut about 2" up from where its suppose to be (I did like the lowerd stance). I can only imagine what would have came off had there been no perches there. Th strut did slip right back in place once on the lift (no detectable damage other than paint scrapes).
