419, KYB GR2's and coil overs Posted by eclipse_gs, Jan-16-01 08:01 AM
Does anyone have these shocks installed on coilovers?? My mechanic seems to be having trouble installing them. He says they "dont look right". whatever that means. I'm going to go by the shop after work and see what he is talking about.

I was told the spring perch on the GR2 needs to be grinded down (part way, not completely). Anyone else have info? Let me know what happens...

You have to cut the whole thing off I was told. I am just selling mine and going with sprint or progress springs instead. Im dont want to destroy these struts.

I have KYB AGX with springs. Hit a hole in the road (should have sued the city) that hit so hard it knocked my drivers side strut about 2" up from where its suppose to be (I did like the lowerd stance). I can only imagine what would have came off had there been no perches there. Th strut did slip right back in place once on the lift (no detectable damage other than paint scrapes).
