If you're getting 225/50s the wheel gap size will be exactly the same. The actual sidewall height is almost exactly the same for a 225/50 as for a 205/55.

If you're getting a 205/50 then the sidewall will be shorter and the wheel gap will be bigger, but not by alot, you could get away with it, especially with the pro kit.
