True You can run 225 on 7" wide but the point of the 8" is that 8" is all you need to completely lay down the 225" rubber. The flatter the rubber laying, the more traction you're getting. 205 on 7" creates more traction (AKA contact patch) than 225 on 7" and 215 for 7.5" and of coarse 225 for 8", no if's and's or but's. Besides why pay more just to say you are running fatter rubber (some butter for your Uncle Ben's - J/ ) when you can get more performance out of 205.
