The 034EIC is an excellent controller. The only thing it doesn't do is intake temperature correction, but you will only really notice it on days where the temperature varies by a lot, like here in New England we have some days in the fall/spring where it will be 30 early in the morning and 70 by lunchtime. I would run a little lean in the morning and a little rich in the afternoon, but it wasn't catastrophic or anything. One way to reduce the error it to put slightly larger than stock injectors in the primary rail (hooked to the stock ECU) like 310's or something, and put the stock injectors in the secondary rail (hooked to the 034EIC). 310+235 = 545 cc's for each cylinder which will provide plenty of fuel for use with a 16G which is a perfect turbo for a street driven car.
With a Portfueler or a 034EIC setup you will need a 1:1 regulator. The point of the 1:1 regulator is to keep the difference in pressure between the intake manifold and the fuel system the same. This makes tuning a lot easier because the amount of fuel injected is linear, controlled by the duty cycle that the fuel computer (whether it be the stock ECU or the 034EIC) drives the fuel injector with.
BTW... If you are looking for an 034EIC I still have my old one which I have been trying to get rid of, I have modified it so that the fuel injector drivers are heat sunk to the case and the center pin which is unused by default now outputs the internal 2.5 bar MAP sensor voltage.
