Thanks for the feedback, guys. I just ordered a front sensor from Sparkplugs.com (Denso 234-4076). Hopefully that will take care of it.

Kaiser, I'd definitely be up for borrowing a fresher cat from you. I wouldn't be surprised if mine is all cooked up inside, given that its been through 97,000 pretty hard miles. And no, you still can't have my K1's... ;p

I did some other diagnostics too:

Coil resistance:
Primary : 1&4 ~0.5-0.7Ω, 2&3 ~0.5-0.7Ω
Secondary : 1&4 12.50Ω, 2&3 12.53Ω,

EGR solenoid:
37.1Ω @ ~90°F

IAT sensor:
7.8 kΩ @ ~94°F

Coolant temp sensor:
8.1 kΩ @ ~94°F

I could not get a comprehensible reading from the O2 sensor itself. Firstly, the diagram in the Chiltons is less than helpful. I also found it a real pain to get the multimeter probes to keep a good contact while rooting around in the sensor connector housing, and I didn't have much more success with alligator clips. Maybe Radio Shat has some better connectors or something.
