#6490, "Clutch or transmission problems" Jun-28-07 11:27 AM by RS-T
So I'm not to sure what the problem is but I've narrowed it to the clutch or tranny. Here's the story:
I went out on a highway with minimum traffic to tune my turbo to hit 15 psi without falling off. This consisted of several pull over to the side of the roads to tinker with something new and plenty of smoke breaks. Everytime I came from the side of the road I got on it hard. The engine I know can handle it. Well we got it tuned correctly and drove into town. I stopped at a grocery store for a drink. When I came back I started my car but couldn't get into ANY gear. I turned it off and pumped the clutch (it would go into any gear when the car was off) but that didn't work either. It would be real jumpy when I started the car too, low rpms to go with that. To get home I managed to take some residental roads all while in first gear. I let it cool for about 4 hours and then it rode fine with no issues.
Sorry for the long story, but does anyone know what could be the problem? It has a spec stage 4 clutch and a rebuilt 3.55 tranny. TIA.
