Drifting is not bad for your car but it can be. We are FF so technically we can't drift. A lot of FF flamers call it Ass Dragging and I believe I am the only one in a 2GNT that sports it, oh well... You can drift using the handbrake because it locks up the wheels and allows the back to slide out allowing you to go sideways. Our cars are the best out of all platforms to do ebrake drifts because we have no power going to our rear wheels so we can gas into a turn and pull the ebrake while still gassing. While the car is going sideways you countersteer to control the drift and apply gas and brake as needed. To make a FF drift look good it's not easy and look fast also.
When you pull the ebrake on a car it loses massive speed because your just dragging the tail around. There are other ways to drift in an FF car as well such as left foot brake, inertial Drift, faint motion drift, too.
Now drifting is bad for your car if you: *Spin out and crash into something (done it twice) *It can mess up your alignment because your being roughw ith teh car *and your tires take a beating, see all that smoke and crap come out of the car?
so necessarily it's not bad for your car if you know what your doing and got tires to burn, it looks cool, it's easier on your car and tires if you do it in the rain also, but gotta learn to control the car...
