#122, "Shifting points"

Ok, I've heard this before as to when to shift at the track to improve times, but does it help....when in first, is shifting at 6.5k rpm really better than redline or fuel cut? Is it better to recline every gear or will it get you better times, even when racing, to shift before then? And please throw out some rmp ranges for certain gears if you shouldn't redline.
