Yup all you need is to have RCA cables going out from your DVD player to the LCD screen. You would keep your existing head unit, and route the audio cables from the DVD player into an AUX input of your head unit (if it has one). Otherwise I think you need a new head unit in order to get the audio from the DVD into your car speakers.
