#9988, "making my own line of subs - tell me what you want"
Although the readership here is kind of small, I'll ask anyway I am making a small run of 12" and 15" subs, to be built by the same guys that build and design all of Eclipse's, Audiomobile's, and Stryke's subs. Tell me what you guys look for in a sub. I am thinking something with high power handling, in the 700-800 watt RMS range, a lot of excursion (at least 20mm one-way), and great sound quality with a huge presence in the under-40Hz range. One of my design goals is to have a 12" that sounds like a 15" when it comes to the low bass. The price point would be right around the $200usd mark, but it's too early to tell what sort of a deal I'll get so I can't promise anything about the money side of things (it might be way less, or it might be way more). Pour your hearts out here, guys
