Im thining of just asking this one friend of mine w/ a wrecked GS-T for his for a small fee.
aftermarket ones are wayyyyy simpler than the stock ones. however if you're going from stock power to aftermarket you will need to fuss with the wiring a bit as the stock harness uses like 7 wires or something to control the motor. don't ask.
with an after market one you have basically 3 wires (not counting the antenna cable going to your radio). you have power, ground, and the one to make the antenna go up. power goes to power (constant is fine). ground goes to ground. the 3rd wire receives a +12v when you want the antenna extended and nothing when you want it down. the internal circuitry controls the directional motion and everything. just find which wire from the stock harness gives a signal when the car/radio turns on. that's it.
p.s. i upgraded from the stock fixed antenna so i had to hassle with running a signal wires from allll the way up front. there's already a constant +12v in the trunk area you can tap and ground is... well anything.
