just wanted to comment on the slot-loading (corner loading for home audio guys) stuff...
that is THE best way to take a limited area of space and produce an efficient outcome as far as dB levels are concerned. make sure the subs are at least 1.5-2" away from the reflective surface and either downfire them (my favorite) or face them towards the back. forced wave alignment rocks my socks. naturally, you'll want to make sure the subs are in a proper enclosure for their t/s parematers. as aaron mentioned earlier...it all depends on how much space the driver will sacrifice.
