Ok, 99 Eclipse with Hahn Stage II / FMIC. I'm using the Missing Link and not the Hahn FCD. Started it up for the first time and I got some wacky ass shit goin on. First I got a nasty squeal (sp) coming from the ML and the car would not idle at all. I take the ML off and the hole into the throttle body is fucking hosed, chips all over the place. Ok, easy fix, got some black gasket sealant and used it on the outside of the o-ring on the ML. Got it all back up and let it dry. There is still a leak but not nearly as bad. And not it idles but barely and very rough. I check the fuel pressure gauge and its sittin at 20 lbs. Per the instructions I turned the top allen bolt on the FPR to see if i could get any more pressure out of it. Nada. 3 full turns and it didnt effect it any. If I give the car gas the guage pegs 0 lbs and car will almost die but it'll save itself.
I talked to run4cvr about it and we think it may be the MAP senser cutting the fuel becuase of the leak past the ML. I know I have an exhuast leak (stupid hahn exhaust bolts) but I dont think that has anything to do with my problem. I triple checked all my fuel connections and I've found no leaks anywhere. Checked the aux fuel pump relay and it's all wired correctly.

Your post is confusing.
First I >got a nasty squeal (sp) coming from the ML and the car would >not idle at all.
Okay, this sounds like you didn't get an adequate seal. I understand this.
I take the ML off and the hole into the >throttle body is fucking hosed, chips all over the place.
Chips?? Hole into the throttle body?!?! What?
Ok, >easy fix, got some black gasket sealant and used it on the >outside of the o-ring on the ML.
Gasket sealant?? Why? The ML sits flush with the intake manifold surface and the MAP sensor plugs into the ML with an O-ringed seal.
Why not post a picture of your dilemma so we can get a clearer picture? This install should take all of 5 minutes without much to go wrong. After all, there's only two screws.
Got it all back up and let >it dry. There is still a leak but not nearly as bad. And not >it idles but barely and very rough.
Did it idle alright before you installed the ML?
I'd try to get it to work right before the ML and see what happens.
I check the fuel pressure >gauge and its sittin at 20 lbs. Per the instructions I turned >the top allen bolt on the FPR to see if i could get any more >pressure out of it. I'm not sure what you have hooked up incorrectly such as your FPR or your fuel pressure gauge. It's hard to say at this point. But you should work to eliminate any vacuum leaks and make sure your FPR is installed somewhere between your fuel rail and your FPR.
The rest seems hazy at this point.

He means that the surface where the ML mounts was chipped... Not smooth. So he re-mounted the ML and sealed the edges with gasket sealer. Is this right chris?

This is a new install BTW.
> I take the ML off and the hole into the >>throttle body is fucking hosed, chips all over the place. > > >Chips?? Hole into the throttle body?!?! What?
-- Yeah, the whole in the TB where the MAP senser was originally. The surface itself is scored and chipped. From where, I dunno. The squeal i described was a shit load of air from the poor seal.

-- Mine doesnt, My TBS is all types of messed up.

-- No digi, and it's biting me in the ass right now. Heh, I know. You think something with 2 screws wouldnt *cough* screw *cough* me over so bad.

-- I'm sorry for the haziness. I'm new to all of this . I'm installing the FPR per the Hahn instructions so it's correct as far as I can tell. No fuel leaks goin in or out of the FPR. All my tee's look nice and secure coming out of the FPR too. Thx for the input.

well if you only have 20 lbs of fuel pressure on stock injectors, then that is why your car is not idleing. My guess is that you have the fpr hooked up incorrectly. make sure you have the regulator "out" line running to the return line, and the "in" line running to the fuel rail. If it is hooked up properly, then try turning that allen head adjustment screw in more. If the pressure doesn't budge at all, then I would bet that you have a faulty regulator.

Ok, thx for the input first off all
Yes it is hooked correctly. Out is goin to the fresh return line. In is goin right to the rail. I guess my real question is "If the ML is not sealing correctly will that cause the MAP sensor to cut my fuel to 20 lbs?" If not then my problem is else where. TIA

OK guys, I got it fixed. I checked all my fuel lines and electrical connections to the aux pump 84 times, I swear. Everything was right. For the hey of it, I changed the ground to the relay and aux pump to something a bit more solid. Put a shit load of gasket sealant on the Missing Link. Car Immediately started and idled on its own. No escaping air from the ML. Checked my idle fuel pressure....51 lbs w00t! Thx for the ppl that gave me advice.
