#5107, "wiring megasquirt to ign switch and starter wiring"
i am near completing my standalone megasquiurt. i just need to run my power from my relays to my ignition switch. im wondering which wire i need to tap into. a schematic shows white-constant 12v, blue-ignition, black/white-ignition 2, black/red-starter, blue/black-accessory. i went a little excessive when removing unnecessary wires. i removed a whole harness that includes all the sensors and runs into the firewall on the passenger side. i undertand that the starter relay is located in this harness and behind the cd player. is there a bare bones/simple way to get it wired up? i am fine with not having the clutch sensor wired into the starter wiring.

It sounds like you really did a number on your wiring harnesses. I suggest starting by downloading the electrical portion of the FSM and carefully reviewing it:

igntion harness, you still have that right lol.. white is constant 12v. Black with white stripe will be your 12v while in run mode and cranking. this will be your trigger to all your ms relays (except fuel pump since its neagtivly triggerd from the ms)
The starter wire is black yello (i belive) this gets ran and spliced into the starter molex connector. should be a 1 wire connector.
the constant 12v for the relays can come from the battery.. where are you mountng ur relays?

haha yes i sure did a number on the original harness! but i found the right wires on the ignition switch harness, i was originally looking at the harness at the other end of the switch by the key where the wires are all red, yellow, and black. I splicedd into the blue (ignition) wire and tested and i now have power to my relays, which are mounted with my voltage regulator where the original fuse box mounting location was. It was relocated further into the fender well because i used the hole where the harness comes up into the fuse box for my turbo piping ( had to cut the hole out larger) now i just need to finish wiring up my fuel pump to the relay's and wire up the starter and alternator and im ready to plug and play!! also i just looked and the power wire stud on my alternator is bent, to get a flush connection when tightened down i will need to bend it straight, is this safe or should i get another one?

You could try bending it back, but it's rather brittle. I broke that stud off the alternator altogether one time, just by removing the nut. So give it a try, but be aware that you may need a new alternator (unless you can figure out a way to replace the stud).
