Which signal is our crank position sensor? I have been looking on the MS forums abot which input to use with our CrPS but people have said use the VR/Hall input however according to the MS 3.0 instructions thay are two separate inputs. Just a bit confused. Any help would be great.

It works alright... I'm still hunting down a noise problem which causes tach spikes. I've tried just about everything - playing with those resistors, running a line of coax in an attempt to sheild the line from ignition noise, trying different code, etc... The only thing I haven't tried yet is to cut off the stock ECU off from the crank angle sensor entirely, but I would need to get an 8 volt regulator first to power the sensor.

Try the Opto circuit first, if that doesn't work then try the VR.

FYI The crank sensor runs fine off of 12v.
I am finishing up my board mods in the next day or so.
I used the info you posted om the ms forums

remove or do not populate D1, D2, XG1-XG2 jumper, C30, R12
install jumper from TACHSELECT to OPTOIN
install jumper from right (DB37) side of D1 to bottom (Copyright text) side of C30
install 1.3k ohm resistor in place of R12
install wire from top (heat sink) side of C30 to Proto +5v (or wherever else you want to get +5v from)
install jumper from TSEL to OPTOOUT
done!

I suppose the outpust get run off the two led's like the 2.2 board. I am alos going to be trying to run the internal ignitor transistors.

Well she runs, I had a setting wrong and fried C14 on the board, the damn thing exploded. I picked up a 4.7Uf cap form radio shack until I get the correct one. The onboard transistors are definatly the way to go. They run nice and cool and the spark seems good. I need to figure out why my alternator is not charging still. I think I might have the regulator wired backward. I just wanted to let people know that everythign works Use the mods I posted from NER and just use the coil output diagrams from the MS site. Time to get the interior back together.

So......

You're saying to use the opto circuit, right? I'm assuming that you installed both the opto and VR circuit and used a jumper to select which circuit.
