Hey all, anyone who can help please do. I have a 97 eclipse M/T N/T 2.0. I was wondering if anyone knows of a vfaq or somewhere online wheres there is a step by step guide to taking out the tranny. Also i need a new second gear, second gear synchro and a Clutch release bearing. Are the factory parts good enough or are they the only ones avaiable? Im not looking for performance its my Daily driver. Anyways if anyone could help please do! thanks.

You can't buy just a second gear. The second gear is part of the output shaft, which is serviced as a ($900) assembly.

Factory parts are best. Like mentioned ^^^, you can't buy just second. Your best bet probably is to pull the tranny yourself, send it out, have it fixed up and re-install it. You can put a new clutch in then too. Or, if you can't afford the downtime, buy a used tranny and swap them. Lots of guys have done it, it's not the end of the world.
