Alright its summer time, most peeps are out of school, etc. Time to have a big so-cal meet. Im thinking like mid to late July. Plenty of time to pick a date that works for everyone, pick a spot and have a really good turn out. Perhaps a kind of potluck BBQ or something to that effect at a park or beach or something. Post up some date suggestions as well as places and let get this going!

Yeah a SoCal meet will be cool. Haven't made an apperance in a while. I say lets make it a sunday afternoon meet, as many peeps work on a saturday. What do the rest of you say?

jsupetran: Installing the turbo kit is simple. Especially the HRC kit. I would highly recommend reading the instruction manual over and over again, until you can install this kit in your mind, then install it on your car. I am sure a few of us SoCal guys wouldn't mind helping out, but with hectic life/work schedules, timing will be a major factor. Go ahead and give it a shot, if you run into any trouble spots, the board will be here for you.

well, someone mentioned the track at LACR - but I dunno where that is. Does anyone want to meet at the cali speedway sometime sooner? I wanna try out the v2. I'm up for a mid july meet - like the bbq idea

hey clay ez you down for the LACR? maybe even before the meet? I wanna get some things one da car and try them out.
They upped the price though I think its 20 bucks to race now. Per car.
Its open during friday and wednesday. It gets packed on fridays though, wednesdays you can get as many runs as you can from 5-10pm. I dont know about now thoudh since its summer. Ussually one or 2 dsms if any there, we gotta rep. havnt lost to a honda yet

to get there

go on the 5 north
then to the 14 north ( palmdale/lancaster)
then get off on pechblosom or was it pearblosom? its a fruit...
then stay on the left in the fork and then stay on the road. Theres gonna be a gas station where the road forks again stay on the left again. then keep going youll see a big billboard.

maybe you guys wanna meet up and ride ther together?

ahh wednesday suck IMO. for one I'm still at work for the beginning of that session, for another my salsa class is wednesday night. I was hoping it was weekends like cali speedway. that's $20 too.

Yeah a pot luck meet sounds good. I have one spot in mind but will hear more about the place from a friend going to an accord meet there this weekend.

Also, if you guys wanna set up a California Speedway meet for any of the night racing sessions, I'd be down to bring my wrx and test it out. I baby it though so I'd be hoping to get 15's (slower than stock hehe).

im good for a bbq/potluck meet... just need to have it planned far enough in advance so that everyone can clear their schedules... as far as the tracks are concerned... i would rather go to lacr on a friday than calispeedway.. ive gotten 5 runs in on a crowded fri night at lacr... the last time i was at calispeedway.. i barely got in 3. it is a bit more of a drive for us inland guys, but its not too bad.

chamuko.. how often are you at lacr? i havent been in a long time, my damn car has been hurting for a long time now..

Yeah it's a v6performace.net meet, with about 50 cars going I think. I might show up since they invited the Subaru members, but not sure yet.

saturdays are the best for me, but I know a lot of you guys work on saturdays so sunday may be the best for a big meet.

Hey either day would work for me, but I think most people prefer Sunday because some people work Saturdays. The accord meet was actually kind of boring, even through they had about 50 cars there. It was just too hot to do anything at the park really. Some people ordered some pizzas, but there was no bbq or anything. I would suggest maybe going somewhere that we can actually do something (such as the track, speedzone, a cruise, beach, etc.). What do you guys think?

i'm up for which ever sat., my 17's are bald as hell though, and i only got the 14's from my old 1g eclipse which the tire is much smaller than the 14's on the 2g (looks nasty when i put them on). would this effect my time? i dont have my 2g rims/tires.

hey cv'd I dont go all that often, just when I get a new mod in, when i feel ive tuned her a bit better, or when a friend wants to go. Been there maybe uhm 4-5 times? Im down to go when ever you are though.

i wont be able to make this trip.. the gfs bday is that weekend and we'll be in vegas... that and my car is still shitty....

chamuko... i know what you mean man... me and my friend with a beefy z28 used to go up there pretty often, but lately, both of our cars have been acting up.... when we get them up and running, im sure we'll all get to lacr.. just let me know when you go next and ill see if i can make a run, or at least get out there to chill....

and of course.. im down to just kick it.. as are most of the so cal 2gnters... even if it doesnt involve the track

Im tied up for the 12th. How bout the 19th? Would that work for everyone???
If the 19th is cool with everyone, we could do something like
Meet up at Hooters(Ontario) at 11.30am
Get something to eat/drink/take pics etc
Then at about 1.30pm head over to Calispeedway.
We should get there a little before 2 when ticket/tech opens up. If i remember correctly its just a real quick trip across the 10 to get from hooters over to cheery ave which the speedway is on.

Post up if that is cool or not. I know trying to get everyone schedules to work out is the hardest part.

i'm down for the 19th as long as thats the day everyone can make it, i really dont want anyone left out if they wanna go. Hey ez did you mean you can probably make it on the 19 or no?

everyone post the dates you know you can make it! i can make it any weekend as long as i'm told a few days in advance so that i can take off early.

I Really want to go to Hooters, but I cant go to the races. My car is too slow to race and Im scared something would break if I revved it too high. Ontario is near by me (25mins) so that would be cool for me since most meets are 1hr+

well you dont have to race, just roll wit us, and hope we smoke everyone! hooters would be cool! i'm cool with meeting there...that way we can all cruise together to the speedway

i think everyone wants to meet up at the hooters in Ontario because it's a lot closer to the speedway.

incase you don't know how to get there from OC area:
=take 10fwy east.
=get off on Milliken.
=make left.
=hooters will be on left hand side after going down a few lights.

If you're coming from San Bernardino area: =just make a left as well, because Milliken loops.

Yeah I think this Saturday is a bit too soon for most of us. I actually forgot I have a dinner to go to this Saturday too, so I guess the 19th seems to be better for most people? Ez, can you try to make it on the 19th?
