#493, "RE: HELP WYATT -- adjustable FMU, static fuel pressure, boost pressure" In response to In response to 0
Leon, you should replace the stock FPR with the SFMU from vortech. The SFMU sets your fuel pressure so there is no need for the stock FPR. Idle fuel pressure should be around 47-50psi. I ran about 90psi of fuel pressure @ almost 6psi of boost and I KNOW that was running pretty fat, my EGT didn't go above 820c even in long 34rd & 4th gear pulls. We are the first to actually use the SFMU for the Star Kits, most get the standard FMU and works fine and you wouldn't have to worry about all this extra crap. theoretically, I would think you could still use the stock FPR and just put the adjustable FMU in line with the fuel rturn line. IF possible, it would be better to just rid of the stock FPR and replace it with the SFMU. Again, i will be back home after the first (Jan 2) and I should be able to better help you.
