#468, "RE: noise from FUEL PUMP from STAR KIT" In response to In response to 0
ine's the same way. That's the way it's supposed to be. These pumps are designed to flow MUCH GREATER amounts of fuel as compared to the stocker, which was designed for quietness. With the walbro, volume wasn't an issue, only flow. I can hear mine from outside my car, as well, but you'll eventually get used to it and tune it out, just like all the rest of us. The sound changing when you depress the throttle is totally normal, because when the throttle is depressed, you are basically venting fuel pressure through the injectors, which the pump has to build back up.
-DarkOne I'm so bad, i should be in detention.
