Yeah, I'd feel much better about putting in a colder thermostat. I'm in VA, we get some low temps and I don't want to have to wait forever to get heat. Plus, I always baby the car until it fully warms up, so the sooner the better. Valve opening temp on thermostat is 195F for us and 180F for the turbo guys. Full opening temp of thermostat for us is 216F and 203F for the turbos. I wonder if the thermostats are interchangeable, that would be sweet. Otherwise, some research would be involved.
