Update;

Ok, I've now spoken with the dealership, the Regional Sales Manager and an Assistant to the Corporate Board. First thing they told me (which I already knew) was officially, I was not getting a 2011 and my car was NOT GM "accepted" yet (just accepted by the dealership as a firm order - yeah, I know confusing to us, but I understand it now due to researching). They have pretty much known this since before I walked into the dealership on week 8. They never told me, probably because of a well known sales tactic of just "stringing them along and we'll eventually have something for them".

There has been (since early on with my order) a question of whether or not there was an "allocation point" (sad that I'm up on their terminology) held by the dealer. The dealership claimed that they had one and GM said they have no record of them having one. So I was placed on a list of "non allocated" orders by GM. At the 7th week from my "buying" the car, GM "called in" any unfilled orders (mine being one of them) to see if those orders were "firm" and if they could fill them. From here, I kinda went into limbo (now all this is happening unbeknownst to me. We are just sitting there all happy like anticiapting driving the car by week 8). Apparently, "marketing" had to get involved to see if they wanted to/had the parts to pull, to build the car.

In laymen's terms, the dealer and the Regional Sales Manager were "rolling the dice' to see if they could get my car out. Come to find out they couldn't, and never mentioned a thing to me until I walked in there and "started trouble", Even at that point they couldn't come clean. Still holding to their salesmen ways of just trying to get me out of there grrr.......ok, never mind that tangent.

So currently here's where it stands (by all parties. Or at least this is the story that all parties agreed to), GM is supposed to be calling me "sometime soon" (yeah, again a "nobody knows when" situation) to discuss my options on buying a 2012. They claim they will be offering me up some incentives to "make up for" the problems that I have gone through (btw, at this point there are about 260 of us in this same boat. No offense meant to the other buyers, but I have no interest in the other people. I'm concerned about my car and how they hurt my wife with their 'rolling the dice" and not being honest and up front. Again another "sales" ploy). I know from the conference call I had the first day I was in the General Manager's office, that they were going to price match anyway, so I hope that's not the "incentive".

These cars will not start being built until, at the earliest, July 18th when they come back from shut down. There is no estimation of when the car would be done and when I would see it (again, nobody knows so you can't hold us to it) but we would be moved to front of the line (hahahaha, yeah, 1st in line again?!).

The dealership said that they have put their allocation point from the 2011 year (yeah, the one that GM disputes that they have) and put that toward a 2012 order of our car, "just to cover all bases".

So here I am again, waiting and not knowing when anything is going to happen, sweet!

Oh yeah, I had discussed with Corporate about being sure that someone on the board was up to date with my story. I didn't need to talk to anybody, I just wanted verification that someone on the board had heard the details of my story and how I had been treated. Originally, I got a positive response to that possibility. Now, I'm getting mixed feelings. Soooo, if anybody out there has any ability to help me out with contacting someone, who can help me out, please feel free to pm. I just think its important that the board has knowledge of what's going on, other than people hiding it from them.
