We all know how frustrating it can be when you have a problem with your car, don't know what to do, and it seems like nobody will reply to your thread. Here's a couple things to consider when posting your thread that will help you get the best replies.

  • HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLP MEEEEEEE PLEEEEEEEEZZE!!!!!1!11!
We've all been there and felt the same way at one point or another. Despite that being how you really feel at the moment, it's not much help at getting replies. To some people, this is seen as ignorant, and they will just ignore your post. Others might check it out, only to discover that they can't help and not reply. If your thread has a title stating what the issue is all about, people who have experience with that problem are more likely to jump into your thread to see if they can help.
  • IT *JUST* STOPPED WORKING!!!!
Did it really? We've seen, through the years, that it's not very often that major catastrophe strikes without warning. A rattle, wiggle, smell, or something will usually precede the violent death of a 2GNT. What were you doing just before the car died? If the car still runs, but runs like crap, tell us as much as you can about when the problem happens - under acceleration, under braking, turning, hot or cold, is it related to the speed of the engine or the speed of the wheels, what color is the smoke and does it ever go away? The more you can tell us about your problem, the better your chances someone will be able to spot your problem or at least better point you towards a solution.

You are now a part of the largest online community for owners of 2nd generation, non turbo DSMs. This is the largest source of technical information available and participation here will offer you a wealth of technical information as well as the opportunity to become friends with other owners from all over the world. We ask that, when you post in the technical forums, you take a second to make your post make sense. The smarter you make yourself appear, the better your reputation will be.

You will be hard pressed to find a better community than 2GNT. By taking just a couple moments to ensure that your comments on this site are thought-out and somewhat professional, you will help us to help you and we will all be better for it.

Thank you.
