the green hub that goes in the tranny is the axle. As far as taking off at 2k...how bout not doing that anymore. The shock of a clutch being dumped kinda wreaks havoc on ALOT of things, like your suspension, motor mounts, tranny internals, clutch, throwout bearing, axles...just about everything in the front of your car.

but i am with dino...cv joint or motor mount. I have a popping noise right now, but i really think its from my tranny, cuz i can feel it in the clutch pedal whenever i shift...but we'll see
