Hey, i'm 21 years old and i live in Germany. I got a 95er Eclipse with 420A maschine and manual trans.
Now i got a problem with the car and here in Germany the 420A was never sold. The 2G's sold here in Germany with a 4G63 without Turbo. I dont know why, but the Motors got the timingbelt on the driverside and only 141hp So here nobody can help me...
Clean, 2g. Can you post up more pictures, I never seen a non turbo 4g63 1995 to 1999 DSM. Only a 1g 1990 to 1994 DSM.
This would be a rare first.
The 420a timing belt is on the passenger side the Non turbo 4g63 and turbo version is on the driver side clear the hood scoop but that hump is hood could be for looks maybe.
Welcome, to 2gnt you've come to right place for information about the non turbo eclipse and talon 1995 to 1999 and then some.
Make sure to learn use of the search tabs above and information on the homepage.

Oh god, how killer! Never in my life would I think we would see one like this, it doesn't look like its had major cutting/welding work, or its a clean ass swap.
Can't believe Mitsu' actually put some into production that weren't 420A's, especially overseas, N/A 4G63. Nice find man, pretty rare is agreed. But what VIN is it? Is it a Y at the 8th digit "420A" or an F, also 8th digit, for the 4G63T? A little insight OP.
Also, look into you're VIN Records, find out if the car has ever been shipped or anything.
Thanks Much, Jeff.
More pictures from under the hood! Please.

If I remember correctly, most of the NT 2Gs in Europe were 4G63s. Only a few 420As made it overseas. Possibly due to the fact that the head was a Lotus design that had a hard time passing European emissions tests. Nice car, by the way!
