Hey People,

Fairly new to the site but have been browsing around on here for the last couple months since i had originally bought my car. It's a 1999 Eclipse GS, I got the car about 2 months ago for $1600 bucks. Had a rebuilt engine put into it the body mileage is 123,000. Haven't had any problems with the car yet beside the thermostat getting stuck from the ice cold weather last week anyways just look forward to fixing my car up a bit and getting it to look like new again. Its dirty cause of the winter weather here. The front bumper is just about trashed. Don't know if GS's originally came with back disc brakes but i got em on the back. The passenger airbag is peeling from the metal housing. ( any ideas on how I can fix that???) Anyways here's some pics of the car let me know what you think. It's an Automatic but i love it. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Welcome man!

Get a polisher, some Meguiars Scratch-X, then clay bar it, then wax it, should do wonders for you!

GS Eclipses did come with rear discs.

Welcome!!

You may want to put your harness on the other side of your thermostat housing again. It could get a little hot next to your exhaust manifold.

Welcome. If you plan on modifying your dsm in any way, you've found the right place to begin. First off, I agree with Mreigle about your PS/AC electrical wiring. Unplug the connectors and move it to the other side of your radiator hose. I'm suprised that it hasn't melted already! Second, it looks to me that there is some rust on the sidewall of the drivers side shock tower. If so, I would address that. Lastly, it looks like you have a maxi fuse holder running 8 gauge wire out of your engine bay over your windshield cowl. Make yourself a hole in the firewall, and run that through there. Once in the drivers footwell, you can run that wire neatly through the harness channel that is under the scuff plate on that side. Good luck.
