#308, "if you're going and have a megasquirt...."

please, if you've got one, and you've got it working and tuned, bring your laptop and have your files handy.

I tried looking at the megaview again, and when it comes to it I guess I 'm just too dumb to figure it out myself. I still can't figure out how to use the thing from scratch on my own.

I'm sure if someone shows me what to do and how to use it, I can then figure out how to tune it on my own.

While it would be nice to have it tuned for the races and get some more power out of her or at least a higher rev limit, even if I just figure out what to do, how to use it, and what the hell the initial settings are supposed to be I'll consider that worth the whole trip.

So, anyone with one please help out a dumb old RS owner I'm sure there will be some beer involved for any help (hey, why not a bribe?) Trust me I really REALLY need help with this.

thanks

I appreciate the help, and no just the regular O2, no wideband, sorry that was on my christmast list but I didn't get it

I'm not too worried about O2 actually. If I can get the car idling and running, give it a little more timing, bump the rev limiter, and O2 is sort of close but on the rich side then that would probably be good enough. Hell, I'm running on the stock ECU and have been for a while so I'm already too rich. I ran the 15.17 on the stock ECU. If I'm a little better with air/fuel but still rrunning rich I'll probably be OK.

eek! No wideband...that's going to make tuning a bit difficult, esp when you want to race the thing. Narrowband o2s are just about worthless to tune with..I just replaced my wideband in the RS-T with a PLX unit, and have my old AEM UEGO WB, but the analog output is off by like one volt..but the display is spot on. I suppose I could bring it and at a bare minimum rig it up and see how it works? I dont have any N/A maps to even go with..timing wont be hard to do though.
