Water cooling a 16G is nothing new but most people use the heater lines. This was done with a piece of aluminum tube that was flared for use with A & N connectors. The tube that comes out of the thermostat housing was removed, drill and tapped. I had a connector welded to the lower radiator hose for the return.

I don't know what came over me to do it either. It took me 50 hours to do and it really doesn't do anything as far as performance. Hardly anyone notices it unless they own a DSM.

I took it out because I'm determined to have nothing in my engine bay but engine (to make it quicker to work on), and because I'll never use my heater again.

Those would all be great ideas if the collant wasn't 200+ degrees!
To a 1000+ degree turbo 200 degrees is nice and cool but to anything else it would still be extremely hot.
I went to a domestic race shop and told them I wanted aluminum tube to fit a 6AN flared connection and they hooked me up. I paid them to bend the pipe and flare it as well. With the location of this pipe I didn't want to risk having a coolant leak.

The final product looks very nice. I was actually looking for a solution for the feed line as well. I didn't want regular SS because I I didn't want something with a rubber core sitting right over the manifold.
Aluminum tubing looks like a good choice, though. You can get a good length of 3/8" OD 6061 (tempered T6) aluminum tubing from McMaster-Carr for under $25. It's resistant to heat, corrosion, and abrasion. Plus it's hard enough to require a bending tool to bend (other softer grades can be bent by hand).
I think I'll buy a small section and make a feed line. I know I can pick up a bending and flaring tool at Lowe's for next to nothing.

Nice work but I cant believe you paid to have that line made. Seriously, 6AN line is 3/8 aluminum line available from summit. Purchase a tubing bender (you will use it at home and in the garage a good 7.00 investment) and practice bending. Real easy and you can make a more professional looking line than the one they made for you. Flaring just requires the proper flaring tool available from summit racing. If you think it appear difficult then your just overthinking it.
