#99799, "Finally, car running again!"
Apr-20-07 04:19 PM by freddy_00_69

After a year of dealing with my pos, i finally got it running again. With a newer turbo. I had the SC61 with a .60 air compressor side, now i got the SC6169 with a 4 inch inlet and anti-surge bullet holes and new evolution wastegate. It looks good and feels good. In a whole year, i went through 3 rebuilds, due to incorrect piston sizes, wrong eagle rods, damaged block, etc. Alot of money is what it all boils down to. I am only running 7 psi since i want to it to run for more then a week, but it feels pretty quick. I will go up to 15psi, but i want to enjoy the car for now. I will get pics up tomorrow. Hopefully i get a dyno session soon. Just thought i would give an update, since i havent posted in a long ass time.

I went to a local show today, so when my wife puts the pics up, i will post them up. Thanks for the replies. I hope it holds on for awhile also. I am still using the S-FMU with the 42lb injectors, i was going to add the afc with your assistance, remember, but since i never was able to get the car running i left the fuel like it was. I will end up changing the fuel system soon, but after i enjoy it.

Looks sweet Freddy. Let me know how the sprayer works out for ya.

Also, I would paint the compressor housing black again, the SC61 looked sweet like that!

Now all you need is a nice tubular manifold.

Yup, i dont have reverse lights in them. Buddy club 2 made the bumper and didnt add the piece that you screw the lights into, so i will have a shop do it when i get it painted, some time this decade. They probably look like they are painted black or something since you cant see anything. As for the headlights, they are cheap ebay lights. I will probably go back to stock eventually, but for now it is going to stay on. Thanks for the comments, i appreciate them.

I still have the 8-injector setup, but not installed. I have had so many issues with the motor that i had to take it off. I couldnt tune it or enjoy with my engine running like shit. I am gonna run 15psi for now until i get tired of it and then probably install the setup. How does your megasquirt work. I may have to take a trip to orlando to see your setup. I cant wire for shit, so i think megasquirt would be out of my league. The car is running good now, i am replacing my o2 sensor and then i am gonna try and raise the boost from 7 to 10-12psi. How has you car been running, customrsturbo?
