#99580, "A few turbo kits I've been researching"

I'm prety new to fourms, usaly I just get on search and do what I have to for my car, but I want even more power now. I have realy been looking into budget turbo kits, I have about $1,600 I can blow on my car before I start breaking into my school money.

The 1st turbo kit I'd like opinions on is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-SPORT-95-99-ECLIPSE-TALON-DSM-420A-T3-T4-TURBO-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQitemZ250099770076QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

The 2nd is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/420A-TALON-ECLIPSE-DSM-T3-CAST-TURBO-KIT-w-piping_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQitemZ120102455847QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I do understand that I will still need some sort of fuel system boost guage ext. . .

I have briefly looked through other turboing threads and I was prety convinced on getting a protek turbo kit, but now that I have the money for it the site is no where to be found (haha my luck emoji). I also understand that these type of threads are all through the fourms but when I looked at them the link of the kit that they where showing had been removed... Sorry for the long boring post

Chris

I would skip out on both of those kits personally and either put together your own or opt for a Treadstone or Hahn kit. Those links you posted use many knock-off parts and would not really trust the durability of them. A lot of people have successfully put together a kit for under 2 grand (me included) using quality parts. It just takes some patience to get everything planned out with what you need.

I agree with totaleclipse, you can piece together your own kit, or go with treadstone and have namebrand products while only needing a few additional parts. IMO piecing together your kit is the best, you can go with new parts for anything that has moving parts and used parts for everything else and put together a nice kit for not a whole lot of money.
