I think what your trying to do is clock the turbo...do a quick search for "clocking turbo" should be what your looking for.

Pictures would help too, possibly a lot. Is your oil supply on the top still? As much detail as you can give about your setup makes it easier to diagnose the problem

yes your return needs to be on the bottom b/c the oil just travels through the line back to your oil pan due to gravity

i think what he is refer to is that he actually had the turbo upside down to how we typically put them into our engine bay. meaning the compressor being to the further passenger side rather than being in the driver side. If this is the case no wonder it didnt fit very well before and now he has it the correct way and he rotated the center cartridge so that the feed is up top and return is ont eh bottom. sounds like you have it figured out now.

...and how exactly do you plan on running your intake and exhaust as well as piping with the turbo that way...?

OMG lol. What did you all put on your car when you put your "kit" on? I hope you didn't just throw on a manifold and turbo and called it a day. Did you install a fuel pump of any kind even? If not, you are lucky your car is still running as of this moment. Take off your turbo and restore it back to stock before you even drive your car again and do A LOT more reading and get the right parts before you put it back on your car.

Or... new parts car in the FS/WTB forum. Keep an eye out for it.

Some people shouldn't open the hoods on their cars.
