I bought my Vortech SFMU used and now im not exactly sure what spring it has in it after looking at it.

It looks like regular steal coil (some slight rust) not painted "silver or black"

It sits just barely above the hole in the housing that it slides into.

So when you guys say i have the "black" one or i have the "silver" one what size are they and are they painted because mine looks like just plain old steal.

thanks, jason

So then what is the difference between the two?

If I have the 2.72 /10:1 disc and ring. will the dark spring drop that rate to 8:1? Or does it just allow the user to lower the static pressure more.

Background: im trying to set up my fuel curve properly. I have 400cc/ 38lb injectors and only boosting 5psi max. (stock internals) (255hp walbro)

I have the SFMU but only the 10:1 disc and dark spring.

So im trying to determine if I should spring for the ~300cc injectors with my current set up or buy a 4:1 disc and ring and try to make that work with my 38lb injectors.

What do you think is the better way to go?
