#98743, "turbo suggestion for my gs"

I have been putting together a turbo kit for my 97 GS and need help finding more parts and putting together this car...I currently have a Garret T3/T4 60 Trim RB20 / Internal Gate V-Band, HKS ssqv, walbro 225 fuel pump, 12:1 FMU, and missing link, I just bought a new ramhorn manifold...I have the oil feed line but not the return line(I dont know where to return it either).I know I need a fmic(does anyone know of a good one to go with?) I am going to have custom exhaust for the downpipe out...I need help with fuel feeding I fear fuel cut. I certainly dont want to blow this motor up...I only have stock internals for right now. I also need help setting that up....what else do I need? I am aware of what all it takes to do a turbo set up but I cant find half the parts...and I want to do it close to right the first time...please help

well, let us know how that manifold goes... anyways...you return the oil to the oil pan, search and you shall find where to tap. FMIC, Hahn, but if you want something different and cheaper, go to johnnyracecar.com. to prevent fuel cut, you get a fuel cut defender (FCD), there are some for sale in the For Sale section. you cant find parts??? such as??? well you will need an EGT guage for sure, as well as an O2 guage either narrow band if you want to stay cheap and keep boost low, or just go for the wideband which is alot more but a hell of alot better. if that is the OBX manifold, just get rid of it now since it is in one piece. it be alot harder to sell when it cracks. for everything else......SEARCH. emoji good luck

OBX supposedly will warranty any of their items, as long as they haven't been tampered with. (Ex. Re-welded, cut, or painted)

iirc some of the manifolds arent even taped for our map sensor and i have heard of some bolt fitment issues, so there goes that warrenty.

as far as parts go, if your trying to source high-grade products the search for purchasable parts takes longer then just getting Knock-off's off ebay.
hell i've had to source parts from Australia and the UK, eventhough i could have gone with somthing more mainstream but its what I wanted in my car.

but its all about YOUR project and where you want to go
all i can recomend is read read and read some more, find the parts you really want and in the end you will be proud of what you have in your garage

The original poster said it was an turbo manifold. Their new ramhorn design. And there was talk asking if it was obx. I don't think that the map sensor goes on the exhaust manifold emoji

Post up how the ramhorn fits and ANY issues you had with it. I'm sure lots of us would like a tubular manifold if there is no major fitment issues.

I'm supposed to receive the exhaust manifold tomorrow...but it will be a little bit before putting it on I may test fit it this weekend....but either way I will let you know how it fits and/or any problems I find wrong with it.

where can I get intercooling piping because I am wanting to run it different then the common kits sell...So I'll have to do it piece by peice instead of a kit? any suggestion?

upload a pic onto your computer and save it, then go to www.imageshack.net and upload it onto there, and copy and paste the link onto 2gnt and it will show up.

I test fitted the manifold everything lined up great only thing I didnt like about it was the fact that I didnt get to keep it on there....without the rest of the kit. I was wondering also whats better to have? internal wastegate or external?
