OK First of all this might be a dumb question, but what is the easiest way to do a boost leak test. Any help wouold be appreciated. i have a 97 talon tsi with stock setup turbo automatic.

Welcome to the boards Junior. Let me assist you in a way to find your answer SUPER quick so you dont even have to waste your time typing up your question. Try the Search Function. The button is located around the upper left hand corner of the page. Click it and type in "Boost leak tester" or even "Boost Leak" and then select "Subject Only" and search "All Categories" and you will find your answer in 2 minutes. I know you probably didnt know about this feature since I see you are a newbie, but welcome abord and try using this function before posting. A lot of topics have been covered here and I bet you will find most of your answers you have by simply searching.
If you do not understand how to make a tester, let me give you a pointer. Get a piece of PVC pipe, and a PVC end cap. Glue them together, and drill a hole through the end of the end cap. Get a bicycle tube from Walmart or whereever and cut out the schraeder valve leaving just a little bit of rubber around it. Place some good glue inside the end cap, and push the valve through it, and let the glue dry. RTV even works good for these. Clamp your tester now onto the intake side of your turbo, and pressurize the system to like 8psi. If you dont hear your leak, try spraying some soapy water around all your couplers and you will see it start to bubble where you have a leak. May also want to open up your Throttle Body since this will also assist in finding vacuum leaks.
Wow, I will admit, I think this is the nicest I have been to a newbie who didnt search first before posting. I am a changing man, very interesting.

THis is true. This is one of those things that's been discussed so many times you can just google it and one of the first responses that comes up is from dsmtuners
Welcome and like Mike said, search at least a bit before asking questions, and you will get much better responses because people on most boards usually don't like spoon feeding information that has been discussed countless times before.
