I'm running the typical 4AN feed line and I am just using your typical Summit Racing 0-100psi fuel pressure gauge. It is in-line on the fuel feed line.

If you want the gauge inside the car, use electronic.
If you just want the gauge in the engine compartment, use mechanical.

dont wanna steal your post but i have a question along the same line, i run 440's and an sfmu, my fuel set up goes like this, walbro 255hp, aftermarket fuel filter, fuel rail, -4an line, T with a gauge to the sfmu then a -4an line straight back to the tank. My fuel pump is wired directly to an external switch. now when i turn this switch on, the pump turns on, i know it is pumping because i had a leak at the fuel, anyway that is fixed now but the gauge doesnt read any pressure, why could that be, broken gauge? if the car isnt on but the fuel pump is running htere should be pressure correct.

you can connect a fp gauge to the schreader valve on the fuel rail to tune it and then take it off.

yeah but he's running an sfmu, so he's going to have to T it in to the line from the schrader valve to the sfmu.

mechanical is fine if you don't mind taking your hood off and having someone read it for you. Although you said 30#'ers and sfmu, so it will be fine to set your idle fp by
