#97952, "Fuel/Timing for turbo setup"

I have decided to drop my Megasquirt. No one around my area wants to touch it and I am not inclined enough to tune it. Im pulling it off and going to the factory ecu. I am lowering my expectations for the power I wanted to make.Im pulling off my 780cc injectors and slapping on a set of 450cc's I currently have a 4g63t fuel rail with a 1:1 fpr. If I go with a S-FMU do what are my options for timing if I only want to run like 12-13 psi.

BTW I have a built motor top and bottom. I also have a walbro 255 pump as well.

Leave your timing alone.

Not like you can actually do anything about it emoji emoji

I would def run an sfmu and play around with discs a bit. I think i used a 3:1 with 450's with 17psi base pressure. Some say you don't need an safc but I totally disagree. I only used the safc at 1000rpm and below trimming 50% fuel and I had perfect fuel trims with the 450's. No black smoke running pig ass rich either.

i agree, deff need an AFC for tuning below 1000rpm to have a nice idle.

Still have one from my previous setup.

Ok so how is this going to work for the fuel I by passed the fpr thats in the rear towards the back and ran a return line to the fpr on the 4g63 fuel rail. With the SFMU does that mean I have to put the 420a rail back on?

Run a line from the fuel rail to the side of the SFMU, Then your return at the bottom of the SFMU back to the tank.

Carefull with the afc and trimming to much; cause advance in timing and you'll blow.

Been a long time since i've played with one but man.. there were quite a few motors that went because of this a few years back. Do a search to grab more info on it.

Got the S-FMU how do I know what disc is what? The 450's are swapped awaiting the S-AFC and Megasquirt is removed.
