I have a quick question I am building up a 420A 2.0L on a budget(lol impossilbe right) and its going to be turbod. My question is will any other factory rods and or pistons fit in the 2.0 that would be stronger than whats in it. I plan on using a thicker head gasket to drop cr a little also. If this topic has been coverd please let me know I have searched for a while and not found any info on the 2.0 just the 2.4

You are planning on turbo? Or you already have one? I'm seeing a sig talking about GT28R etc., but maybe this is in the works. If you have all this tuff already, I'd sell it and do a proper bottom end rebuild. As far as I know, there are no other internals you can use from another car. We don't have the "1G big rods" like the 4G63 guys talk about.
so the stock pistons are the weak points. What are the best for the money when it comes to pistons. I dont run larger injectors because i had some major idle problems. What I have is a different take on the 8 injector set up although i can control timing as well. I can also control any 12v source.

for pistons, Wiseco and JE are the brands of choice. Both are in the same price range. Although I have read it's gonna cost to get them custom fitted to the stock rods, and your better off picking up some eagle h beams. figure in the area of 700-900 for the internals
