hey im new in to the 2gnt, and i am thinking about going turbo on my car, i have read in all the topics you guys have posted about the hanh turbo kit (wich i alredy knew about), and the star turbo kit (never heard about it before). you guys say that every kit is missing or has to replace something in it. my question is: could you guys state the parts that i would have to buy and/or replace for each turbo kit, the hanh and star. and also which one do u guys think is better. i have a 99 eclipse gs 2.0 dohc 420a, and i dont wanna swap the motor because thats way more expensive!! and i like my car too.

The star kit isn't made anymore so good luck finding one. Look a few topics down at the thread about the treadstone kit, it's basically the same as a star kit but with a few things missing and mild fabrication needed, the thread tells you exactly what's missing and what you need extra to get going. Also Star/Treadstone, once people build their engines and run high boost they usually swap out the small fmic that comes with the kit.
Hahn, people usually change out the fuel system, get rid of their rising rate fpr and the inline pump. They get a vortech fmu or sfmu to replace the hahn fpr and a walbro 255lph pump to replace the inline pump. Oh and I think their FCD (Fuel Cut Defender aka black box) in exchange for making their own FCD or getting a Missing Link
There's also several kits for sale the in the for sale section if you don't wanna drop as much on a new kit, and they usually have the upgraded parts that everyone replaces.

What are your goals? Thats what you need to ask yourself. If you want a higher hp motor looking to run higher boost, piece together your kit with some good quality stuff.
If your just looking to boost on a stock motor for awhile, IMO, you should just get a hahn stage 1 or 2 w/ a SFMU.

If thats the case, importparts.com lied to me . They told me I ordered the last Star kit ever made, I kind of figured they were just blowing smoke up my a$$ since it took 3 months to receive it

From everything I've read and come to understand, all the new ones that are available are just left overs, but they are no longer in production.
