#97418, "MIKE'S FCD Questions...."

I just bought a FCD from Mike and I have a couple questions about it that were already answered by him but I forget the answers he gave me. Anyways... I have a 97 RS and the wires coming from my map sensor are as follows. Green/Yellow = 5v Power , Yellow/Black = Signal , Black/Green = Ground. His FCD has a Green/Yellow , Red , and Black wire coming from it. My question is which wire matches up with which wire.

I am assuming it is as follows...

Green/Yellow = Green/Yellow
Yellow/Black = Red
Black/Green = Black

But I want to make sure before I do it.

Also... to tune this thing I just hook up the FCD and turn the ignition on but leave the engine off. Then I hook up a voltmeter to one of the power sources and blow into the map sensor until the voltmeter reads over 5v, then I turn down the set screw on the FCD until the voltage reads just below 5v while blowing into the map sensor. Correct?

Thanks for reading all of this and I appreciate the help!

i beleive the wires are correct . you cant just blow into it tho . you need to blow compressed air into it . your lungs are not capable of blowing it hard enough .

Would I need to blow regulated compressed air though? Wouldn't a typical air hose blow too much air into it or not?

Wrong. Yes you can, lol.
Your wire colors are correct.

Just blow into the MAP sensor, your lungs will create atleast 1psi. I set mine to 4.63v.

I have a quick question about this also. You say to hook up the voltmeter to one of your power sources, are you talking about the Green/Yellow wire on the MAP sensor itself?

Also, you just splice the FCD wires into the MAP sensor wires?
