#96722, "The Benifits Of Cams Without A Rebuild?."
The question that I just cant seem to find an answer on is whether or not turbo cams is going to significantly affect my engine life on stock internals. I know I'd see a gain at 8lbs of boost with the turbo cams, but is it actually worth the (I'm just guessing) 30 or so whp to just potentially shorten the life of my engine?
Also, what do you guys think about the jeep 60mm Throttle body, and once again, are the gains worth it considering my inter-cooling piping isn’t going to be getting any bigger.
Thanks

So your saying that I'll get more power with staying at stock boost(8lbs),leaving my stock cams in, and getting a megasquirt system rather than actually getting turbo cams?

Yes. I have experienced with both stock cams and the Crane Turbo cams from 10psi to 24psi. Anything thats like 12psi and under, the Stock cams work the best I think. Anything higher than that, the Crane cams pull harder in higher RPM's.
I actually just put my Crane Turbo cams back in yesterday!
