I have searced for a while now and I can't find any detailed threads on how to clock a 14b and keep the actuator and then use the spring mod to lower the wastegate setting. How can I clock the turbo with the compressor down, the CHRA in the right orientation with the oil feed on top and still use the wastegate. Sorry if I am overlooking a thread but I just can't seem to find one.

There is a brass ring that connects the center section to the exhaust housing, remove that first, then pry off the exhaust housing, you will see a little keeper pin that keeps the exhaust housing in the right place. What I did was find a small drill bit to match the keeper pin and position the exhaust housing in the desired position and marked and drilled my hole.

The compressor housing has an enormous snap ring, as well as a keeper pin to keep it positioned. All you have to do is get out that snap ring and position and redrill another hole for the keeper pin.

Put it all back together the snap ring on the compressor housing can be a real bitch to put back on.

Hope that helps

Thanks screamin, but what about the wastegate? Just make sure that it still lines up? Or can I possibly tack weld the bracket to another spot as long as the actuator rod is connected and straight? Do I have to have a special tool for the snap ring to remove it and put it back on?
